Welcome to Mures Upper Deck. This award-winning à la carte seafood restaurant is the flagship of a group of companies founded by George & Jill Mure over fifty years ago.

With an international reputation for Tasmania’s world class seafood produce, Upper Deck is the ultimate seafood experience in Hobart. We are unique as we catch our own fish, source and prepare all our seafood all to enjoy alongside stunning views out over Victoria Dock.

We remain a family owned business where our people’s passion for the sea and Tasmania is clear from our deckhands through to our Executive Chef.

The Menu

Our menu showcases the freshest Tasmanian fish straight from our own boats Diana & Selkie.

This is Mures signature hook-to-plate practice, which is offered alongside other premium local seafood sourced from the region’s finest producers. Every dish is developed to highlight the unmatched quality of Tasmanian seafood.

With a focus on responsible practice and sustainability, we ensure each catch meets the highest standards of freshness and flavor. Complemented by locally sourced produce and paired with a wine list which celebrates Tasmanian wines as well as international offerings with a maritime history, our seafood-focused cuisine is a reflection of Tasmania’s coastal heritage.

For group bookings of 12 or more people, a Chef’s selection menu will be offered in place of the standard a la carte menu.

Functions & Events

Mures Upper Deck provides an intimate and truly unique venue for your next event. Whether it be a private cocktail party, sit-down dinner or corporate lunch, we are experienced in tailoring an event to suit your needs. Situated on the waterfront at Hobart’s working port, Victoria Dock, we enjoy a location like no other. Upper Deck is also conveniently located within walking distance to the majority of Hobart’s accommodation venues.

Upper Deck has four unique event spaces, and can cater for groups up to 150 pax for seated events, and 180 for cocktail style functions.
